Health & Wellness Motivation: Mentality & Healthy Lifestyle

I moved last week & during the move my friend looked at me and she said,"Don't you just love being so physical that you sweat."

I enjoy running the business end of my company, but I also have a very physical part to my life/personality. When I am not behind the computer or on the phone I am on the move. I spend a good number of hours moving weights, equipment, & clients all over the gym. I love being active in my daily life, but that doesn't compare to the energy/mentality that I get from being completely physical & sweaty in my own workouts. My day feels complete and I feel most balanced when I can switch off , get physical, & break that sweat barrier as quickly as possible in my workout.

Sweat to me is not just the name of my company it's a mentality & a lifestyle. It's a combination of an aggressive, persistent, hard working mentality & a high intensity, out of comfort zone, & completely sweaty physical state. This is what sweat is to me. It's when I am dripping with sweat, focused on catching my breath, & getting through the next exercise when I feel mentally tough, my body improving, & my daily task list turned off.

So, to respond to my friends statement. Sweat to me is not something I like to do, for me I am passionate about it. It's the philosophy to which my company is built on, it's the way I effectively train my clients, & it's how I run my personal workout regimen to reach my personal fitness goals. Sweat is taking action, being aggressive, & being physical. It's the mentality & lifestyle of going after what you WANT.

Healthy Lifestyle: Motivation For a Successful Weight Loss Program

We are not a bunch of Task Lists! Over the years of training clients, I have noticed a major commonality in the clients that struggle the most with making healthy fitness/nutrition a lifestyle. They make their daily life a list of tasks that doesn't include their personal goals, "I want to be fit, but I don't have time." Our physical body is the thing that carries us through our entire life & every task that we do. So, why then on the list of tasks does it fall under, "IF I have time I will go to the grocery store and get a workout in." People are opting for takeout and skipping workouts on their daily Task List.

I don't support this mentality at my gym. I support the mentality of starting your day off with your personal goals..planning your workout time, your grocery shopping, & your daily/weekly meal planning based on the personal goals that you have for your physique. Then I suggest coming up with your task list for the day. What you will notice as your mentality switches is accomplishment of your personal fitness/nutrition goals, getting all your tasks in with a lil bit of bounce to your step, & setting new goals.
