Healthy Fats For Your Healthy Diet Plan


Healthy Fats make me happy......especially my cashew butter. I always have a freshly crushed tub o' cashew butter on hand & a spoon ready. This is my life saver for satiety & something quick and easy so that my hunger monster doesn't come out b/c I like to eat....and I eat often. I will caution you, watch your portions b/c fats have a lil' over 2x the amount of calories per serving as a carb or protein......but it doesn't spike your insulin like a carb. Calories are not a bad thing, just going over your daily allowance is.

Healthy Fats Ideas:
1. All Nuts: Peanut, Pistachios, Almonds
2. All Nut Butters: Peanut, Almond, Cashew
3. Oil Based Dressing
4. Macadamia Nut Oil, Olive oil
5. Mayo made with Olive Oil.....chicken salad
6. Pesto Sauce, this is what I use to flavor up my grilled shrimp
7. Hummus, I almost forgot, this is perfect with veggies or deli meat

Healthy Lifestyle! Fashion, Fitness, & Food


I am a big believer in always upgrading, even if you like something why not seek improvement and like it more. For me I like challenges, new experiences, and change...passion. I seek it in the long term just as much as I seek it in my daily routine.

I was at Cooking with Caitlin's Third Thursday food tasting event last week, which had amazing food. She utilized sauces from Oriental Wok and incorporated them into all of her dishes. During the evening I was talking with two friends of mine who are very passionate. One in fashion and the other in all things food. We were discussing simple ways for her to upgrade on her current training program and I made the comment to her. "As you age your Fitness & Nutrition should always upgrade just as your style should." Fashion, Food, & Fitness are so intertwined and positively effect so much of our daily mentality & lifestyle.

Workout Motivation: Take Action For Fitness Results!


Lip Service: Verbal expression of agreement or allegiance, unsupported by real conviction or action.

Are you all talk or do you have action to back up those desires you have? As an Entrepreneur and a Trainer I can't stand Lip Service. There is No Way around it, if you want to get in shape you have to consistently put action to your desire. A great body comes through preparation, consistency, & persistence in training/eating habits. I myself love the work that goes into taking care of my body. I am not perfect, but I typically work to train in the gym 5-6 days a week for an hour, I eat clean 90% of my week, I limit eating out, & I stay active in my free time. I am willing to Sweat, "do the work" to get to my goals.

Everyone wants to have a great body, but what separates the boys from the men are those that turn their words into action. A big reason why I don't do contracts at Sweat is b/c the people that stay and train at my gym want to be here. That mentality makes my clients so much fun to train b/c they desire to work hard, they enjoy the process, & they want to be challenged. When my clients focus on the work......the results come, so turn your words into action and go get it!
